The Investigative Services Division is a special services support function of the Wallingford Police Department staffed with a Division Commander, who is a Lieutenant, and a complement of supervisors, investigators, and clerical support.

This division’s primary responsibility is to investigate incidents of a protracted or time-consuming nature, or incidents that require particular investigative training or expertise. It shall be the responsibility of the Detective Division to investigate major crimes and/or occurrences on a 24/7 basis as directed by the Division Commander.
